          We could not possibly be more thrilled with the transformation that Bartron Builders created at our Cliffs Valley mountain home. When we bought the house in 2023 the house was 20+ years old, and obviously quite "dated". The house prior to the remodel just screamed "old, and out of style." The bathroom cabinetry was of inferior quality, the various door hardware did not match in color, hardwood oak floors in some rooms were covered in carpet, the lower-level living area and both downstairs bedrooms throughout had faux wood ceramic tile as flooring, and so forth.
          The most glaring positive feature of our house was the stunning, spectacular, magnificent mountain views from both levels of the house, and especially from upper floor living area and its massive outside deck. The most negative feature of the house involved a fireplace that was in the second-floor living area on the southwest side of our mountain house inexplicably placed to block the magnificent views toward the mountains back of the house A major remodel was in order!
          We feel that Bartron Builders did a superlative, extraordinary job on our remodel! Every aspect of the work was performed with great care. The Project Manager for our remodel was Sam Coats. Sam is a true craftsman and without question a perfectionist. Sam listens carefully, and he was very responsive to our requests. He was great to work with!

          The Bartron subcontractors were also great, including the painters (fabulous), the wood floor guys, the fireplace master, the stone countertop guys, the motorized RetractaScreen people, and the tile masters. We particularly enjoyed working with the cabinet guru, Brian Linder at Upstate Custom Wood Products. He is meticulous, creative, and a very "fun" guy to work with. He did GREAT work! He added glass cabinet doors to what used to be shelves with GREAT paint matches to existing kitchen cabinets, created drawers under the stove top (now propane, previously electric) where a very outdated under-the-cooktop vent system used to be, and created a great Vent Hood that was stained to match our restained upstairs oak wood floors! He replaced all cabinets in all 3 bathrooms, created a spectacular Masterbath makeup vanity, and built very nice cabinets in our upstairs living area next to our new Heatilator fireplace. Fabulous!
          The new upstairs work involving the creation of the brand new fireplace, and the maintenance on the other 2 existing 20-year-old fireplaces, was done by Joey Buchanan from Carolina Elite Fire: 864/421-7635. Joey is a true master of his craft, and extremely knowledgable about the numerous technical challenges in fireplace equipment.

          It has often been said that "A picture is worth a thousand words!" We decided to hire a professional photographer, Hailey Higgins Crow, to take "before" photos of our house, and "after" photos following the remodel. These photos document the miraculous transformation of our "new" Cliffs Valley home!

          1. When we made the first offer on this house, we wondered why would ANYONE build this house with these mountain views blocked in this way?
          2. After several months of showings (with no offer), we made the last, final, and "accepted" offer on the house.
          3. After interviewing 5 remodel contractors, we selected Bartron Builders, and the remodel project began!
